Today’s class was pretty
entertaining! We all walked in and sat down, and this time I didn’t need to
leave the classroom to try and attempt to open my locker for my book! As soon
as the bell rung for the beginning of class, Mr. Schick walked in, only to walk
back out a few seconds later announcing that Greg was to be in charge of
prayer. Greg was a bit nervous because he didn’t know the prayer, so Keeshan
took over. We said the prayer and then sat back down. We had just finished when
Mr. Schick arrived back in the classroom, and this time he had his teaching
cart with him. He immediately told us to
pull out our notebooks because we were taking notes today, then he mentioned a
reading, and we all realized this was all too familiar. We told Mr. Schick how
we did that all yesterday, and then we were underway. We all pulled up our
blogs and the definitions we were supposed to have looked up for homework. Some
of us did the homework right, but some of us, like myself, forgot to relate
some of the definitions to ancient Greece. Towards the end of class, Mr. Schick
was announcing how he really would have loved to go back in time and walk
around with Socrates, and talk to him. He then pounded his fist down on the
desk so hard and loud I thought I would jump through the celing! Then I thought
maybe he was mad at someone and had a sudden muscle spasm or was trying to get
someone’s attention, but he was just experiencing the happy emotions when he
talked about the first time in history where there was a democracy, so yes!
Class was very entertaining!
