• Women are allowed into the army
• 80% of New Guinean's live in rural areas (they don't have many of the things that we have in america)
• net migration rate is 0
• over 800 languages used there
• 6,310, 129 population
• #1. religion is Roman Catholic
• 18.1% children under the age of 5 are underweight
• HIV/AIDS- currently living with aids=34,000
• legal age to get into the war is 16
• 20 paved runways
• 542 unpaved runways
• 37% people are below the poverty rate
• 13% of the population is urban
• three main sports- soccer/rugby/cricket
• internet hosts- 5,006
• 15& of the population can read and wright
